THE LIMELITERS
First Assembly Church | 777 S. Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, NC

For more than 60 years the Limeliters have entertained audiences from coast to coast with their soaring vocal harmonies and screwball sense of humor. They first made their mark in folk clubs and on college campuses during the height of the folk music boom of the early 60’s.
A string of best selling albums for RCA Records and frequent appearances on dozens of major TV shows quickly made them a household name. For three years they were the musical representatives for Coca-Cola, and their rendition of the jingle “Things Go Better with Coke” became a national hit.

Elisabeth von Trapp
First Assembly Church | 777 S. Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, NC

Elisabeth is the granddaughter of legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp whose story inspired The Sound of Music. Inspired by her father’s guitar playing and singing, Elisabeth has carried on the legacy of The Trapp Family Singers. By the age of sixteen Elisabeth was playing guitar and traveling the back roads of New England performing with her siblings at weddings, gospel meetings and town halls.
Building on her famed family’s passion for music, Elisabeth has created her own
artistic style, at once ethereal and earthy, delicate and powerful. Her musical style takes from many genres, including modern and Gregorian Chant, Hymns, Psalms and Works by Hildegard von Bingen. She has performed in the U.S., Russia and Austria, including European cathedrals and Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
